Confessions of a Farm Wife: Episode 22

It's quiet! For a few hours anyway! The kids are back to school and we're talking food, family and farming, right around the farm house kitchen table.

Oh blessed quietness: the kids are back in school! The farm houses are still again, at least for a few hours every day. The football practices are in full swing, and so are the play practices and the piano lessons and all manner of school events. Harvest is imminent. And it is GOOD.

Emily and I sat down and reflected on it all, and perhaps raised a glass. Maybe. Possibly.

No doubt, when I said we slid in sideways and raggedy, I was not kidding. It was a little crazy around here when we went back to school: home from the Illinois State Fair on Sunday, back to Springfield Tuesday for Ag Day, then first day of school on Wednesday. Oh my.

So, we're re-capping the meet the teacher nights, the first days, and how quickly it all changes. For sure. Give it a listen when you get a chance. Plus endorsements! Here are our links:

Emily: Voxer

Holly: imomsohard (not to oversell but so, so funny)
