Approximately 500 exceptional college students from across the nation will convene November 4-7, 2010 in Kansas City, Mo. for the 14th annual AFA Leaders Conference. Students will discover how to prepare themselves for the workplace and increase their knowledge of the agriculture industry.
The theme for this year's AFA Leaders Conference, "Agriculture: Our Voice. Our Vision", reflects the current state of agriculture. At the 2010 AFA Leaders Conference, delegates will discover how they can help establish a unified voice and vision for agriculture.
The AFA Leaders Conference is a three-track program designed to provide college men and women in agriculture with unique opportunities in personal and professional development. Track One, designed for freshman, focuses on personal assessment. Track Two, designed for sophomores and juniors, concentrates on developing communication skills and Track Three, designed for seniors, centers around living and working in today's global market.
Delegates selected to attend the AFA Leaders Conference will engage in sessions facilitated by over 100 nationally recognized leaders in agriculture, business, government, and education. Session topics this year include resume building, building a professional online presence, and the voice of consumerism affecting the vision of agriculture.
