First Ever Sorghum Quality Survey to Begin

First Ever Sorghum Quality Survey to Begin

Samples from elevators in each production region to be graded and analyzed at Kansas State University.

With the sorghum harvest expected to begin in the coastal bend of Texas in just a couple of weeks, USCP is happy to announce that we are partnering with the Grain Science and Industry Department at Kansas State University to begin the first ever Sorghum Harvest Quality Survey.

Samples will be collected from elevators in each production region, graded and analyzed for key quality attributes. This survey is designed to give the industry a better understanding of the value of sorghum produced in the United States.

The survey is designed to help refute common myths about sorghum quality and tear down barriers to new markets.
