History of Auctioneering Topic for Panel Discussion

Auction event will include tickets to Symphony in Flint Hills, tour of Pioneer Bluffs, the historic Rogler Ranch.

The history of auctioneering in Kansas will be the topic of a panel discussion at 4 p.m. on April 17 at the historic Rogler Ranch near Matfield Green.

Ray Sims, featured n the Leroy Van Dyke song "The Auctioneer: will join Kevin Borge of Hutchinson, the 2009 International Auctioneer Champion in a discussion led by Dave Webb of Webb & Associates/Webb Reaty.

Those attending this event will hear "The Auctioneer" performed by Jeff Davidson, of Eureka. Immediately following the Prairie Talk, the panel members will display their skills with a mini-auction that includes two pairs of tickets to the Symphony in the Flint Hills.

Visitors are encouraged to come before 4 p.m. to tour Pioneer Bluffs, the historic Rogler Ranch headquarters and 1908 home of Henry and Maud Rogler. Art from area artists will be on exhibit in the 1915 barn.
