Kansas Agri-Women Meet March 6 in Manhattan

National Agri-Women Convention will be in Kansas in 2011.

Women from across the state will be meeting in Manhattan on Saturday, March 6, for their annual meeting, election of officers for Kansas Agri-Women, and discussion of plans for hosting the national American Agri-Women convention in 2011.

The luncheon and presentation are open to the public. Luncheon speakers will include AAW president, Chris Wilson, Manhattan, and Jan Lyons, Past President National Cattleman's Beef Association, Manhattan.  The presentation will share real life experiences in Ag-Advocacy and give guidelines for producers to follow while representing the industry.

Kansas Agri-Women president, Abby Dechant, Alma, said, "This is an opportunity for producers to learn what they can do to be advocates of the agriculture industry everyday."

The meeting will be held at First Church of the Nazarene Parish Hall, 3031 Kimball Ave., Manhattan, Kansas (at the intersection of Seth Child and Kimball).

Kansas Agri-Women, an affiliate of American Agri-Women, is a non-partisan organization of women interested and involved in agriculture.  More information about Kansas Agri-Women can be found at www.ksagriwomen.org and AAW may be contacted at www.americanagriwomen.org.
