The interactive workshop is designed for all ages and skill levels, organizers say. Although it is geared toward youth, adults are welcome to attend, too.
Participants will learn the basics of meat goat production, including selection, nutrition and health. The presenters also will include tips for showing meat goats.
Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. and the program at 9:15.
The fee for the workshop is $15, which includes the full day's sessions, lunch and a T-shirt. The organizers are requesting that participants register by March 6 to ensure that enough T-shirts and food are available.
