Raven Industries' newest assisted steering system, the QuickTrax, comes with lots of expected features and a lot less hassle.
Raven officials say their latest offering offers hands-free steering, quick line acquisition and sub-meter and decimeter modes – but with much simpler installation than the standard hydraulic system tap.
A direct link to the steering wheel and an electric motor call the shots through Raven's new QuickTrax system. The simple-to-install QuickTrax can work with sub-meter or decimeter accuracy depending upon the GPS receivers it's linked to.
QuickTrax uses an electric motor drive and is attached directly to the steering wheel. The unit can be moved from machine to machine with standard hand tools.
QuickTrax can be used as a sub-meter system when coupled with a 10 Hz (or faster) sub-meter receiver, and can operate in decimetric mode when linked with a high accuracy receiver like Raven's Phoenix 300 DGPS receiver and a DGPS Enhancer.
