Recommendations to be Released at Energy Summit

25x'25 has principles to help transition to reduced carbon economy.

The National 25x'25 Steering Committee is set to release a set of principles and recommendations to help guide the nation's transition to a reduced carbon economy and maximize opportunities for the agricultural and forestry sectors to deliver greenhouse gas reduction services. Wednesday, leaders from the 25x'25 renewable energy alliance will discuss: Agriculture and Forestry in a Reduced Carbon Economy: Solutions from the Land.

Nathan Rudgers, chairman of a 25x'25 Carbon Work Group, says this evolving collection of recommendations sets the parameters for climate change policy, its implementation, and what must happen for the agriculture and forestry sectors to deliver maximum greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

The report will be introduced at a news conference during the 5th National 25x'25 Renewable Energy Summit to be held at the Sheraton Crystal City, Arlington, Va, March 31-April 2.
