The Ranking Member of the House Ag Committee will co-chair a new group charged with addressing issues facing rural America with a focus on solutions that create jobs and economic opportunities. The Rural America Solutions Group was created by House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio. Frank Lucas, R-Okla., will serve as co-chair along with two other Ag Committee members: Doc Hastings, R-Wash., and Sam Graves, R-Mo.
Lucas says those living and working in rural America are struggling to make a living in a difficult economy. He says it's important they have a strong voice in Washington.
The list of Members of the GOP Rural Solutions includes Rob Bishop of Utah, Henry Brown of South Carolina, Jason Chaffetz of Utah, Mike Conaway of Texas, Steve King of Iowa, Tom Latham of Iowa, Blaine Luetkemeyer of Missouri, Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Tom McClintock of California, Adam Putnam of Florida, George Radonovich of California, Phil Roe of Tennessee and Adrian Smith of Nebraska.
