Each year, Titan Tire Corporation donates hundreds of farm tires for auctions that benefit local chapters of the Future Farmers of America.

Last year, Titan added Husker Harvest Days to the list of events at which the company sponsors an auction. Titan donated a total of 74 tires resulting in donations totaling $45,000. for the local FFA chapter.

With such a strong turnout in the first year, Titan Tire and FFA hope to grow the auction to new heights and keep the enthusiasm mounting.

Nebraska FFA to benefit from Titan Tire auction

This year's auction, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled for Thursday, September 11 at 11 a.m. All proceeds from the tire auction will benefit FFA members in Nebraska

“We take great pride in supporting the FFA and helping to benefit the next generation of growers,” says Scott Sloan, agricultural product manager at Titan Tire and Goodyear Farm Tires.

“We’ve been doing this very successfully for years at Farm Progress and Sunbelt Ag Expo, and it’s great to see that the event went off without a hitch at our first year doing it in Nebraska.”

Tire auction – Starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, event-goers can place bids on a selection of Titan and Goodyear Farm tires for everything from skid steers and backhoes to implements, tractors and combines. The highest bids win the tires, and all proceeds go to the Nebraska FFA.

List of Titan tires that will be auctioned off can be located on www.neffafoundation.org and http://www.titan-intl.com/ffa-and-titan.

Husker Harvest Days is a three day event that runs September 9, 10 and 11. The show will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first two days and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the final day.
