We Kan! Do Rural Tourism

Kansas Sampler Foundation plans rural tourism initiative.

The We Kan! Conference, facilitated by the Kansas Sampler Foundation, will take place March 24 at the Webster Conference Center, Salina.

The theme of the conference is "Relentless for Rural" and the sessions will help kick off the first ever rural tourism initiative. The initiative is a partnership with the Kansas Department of Commerce Travel and Tourism division, the Kansas Sampler Foundation, and rural communities.

Any rural community or persons interested in supporting rural efforts should attend. Registration fee is $50 for We Kan! members; $75 for non or renewing members. Communities under 2,500 may register to give 5-minute presentations. Three will be chosen to receive one thousand dollar grants.
