Faces of Farming Finalists Announced

USFRA announces finalists in their spokesperson for agriculture contest. (And one is from Illinois!)

US Farmers & Ranchers have conducted a contest to select a spokesperson for agriculture, and the nine finalists were announced today in New York City.

Among 100 applications, these nine finalists were selected:

Chris Chinn, Missouri

Will Glimer, Alabame

Daphne Holterman, Wisconsin

Brenday Kirsch, Oregon

Tim Nilsen, California

Eric McClam, South Carolina

Katie Pratt, Illinois

Bo Stone, North Carolina

Janice Wolfinger, Ohio

Starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 15 through Dec. 15, people can visit to learn more about each of the nine finalists and the work they do. The finalists will be interviewed by a panel of judges in New York, and their selection will be based on interviews and online voting. Which is to say, it's not just a popularity contest! Voting matters - so go vote - but remember these folks have a tough interview to get through as well.

(Finalists were only recently notified and were announced for the first time here in NYC. I knew there was a good reason I saw Katie in the hallway this morning!)
