Thousands of cattle producers are congregating at the Phoenix Convention Center this week to participate in the industry's largest annual event, the 2009 Cattle Industry Annual Convention & NCBA Trade Show. This year's trade show will have 260 exhibitors showcasing the industry's newest and most modern products and services.
"Our exhibitors are on the cutting edge of the industry," says Kristin Torres, director of tradeshow and corporate relations, National Cattlemen's Beef Association. "Because we're one of the largest trade shows that specifically targets cattle producers, every year we see the introduction of groundbreaking technologies and ideas at our event, which is the largest and most comprehensive of its kind."
This year a demonstration area has been added. Starting the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 28 and running through Friday, Jan. 30, demonstrations will be held that focus on topics such as low stress cattle handling, fundamentals of horsemanship and animal processing techniques.
More than 5,000 people involved in the cattle industry are expected to attend the convention and trade show.
