FCFI Coordinating Haylift for Oklahoma Blizzard Area

Hay from as far away as Indiana on its way to Oklahoma, Texas Panhandles.

The storms have passed, but the High Plains region of Oklahoma and Texas's Panhandles is still "frozen up" and thousands of cattle remain in need of hay.

The Fellowship of Christian Farmers, International is in the midst of a haylift to the affected areas and has arranged for two semi-trailer loads of hay from near Indianapolis, and one from a Pennsylvania farmer who recently bought an operation in eastern Oklahoma. Another 200 rolls of hay have been donated for immediate use by an FCFI member from near the area in Oklahoma's far western county.

For more information on how you can donate hay for this effort, call Jerry Rice, (580) 426-2442.

Scenes like this were common as two back-to-back blizzards iced down the High Plains region in Oklahoma and Texas recently. In response, the Fellowship of Christian Farmers, International is organizing hay lifts into the area – still snow covered - and is asking for hay donations.
