The John Deere Field Connect soil moisture monitoring system has become considerably more useful with the addition of a host of new sensors for 2013.
The new equipment available for the Field Connect system includes information on temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, solar radiation, leaf wetness and rainfall.
Field-specific soil moisture and environmental data is transmitted from the sensors to a secure website for viewing. Customers can have the data tied to an alert system set on specific parameters, and the system will chart data over time allowing producers to identify trends.
