Gators Get a Makeover

John Deere has upgraded the Gator Utility Series vehicles for more oomph.

The John Deere Utility Series vehicles are getting more muscle for 2010, in the form of a 19 horsepower engine and a new coil-over-shock suspension system for more sure-footed traction.

The increased power allows the new Gator to reach its maximum 20 mph speed 44% faster and provides 90% more torque than earlier models.

In addition, Deere is making the Gator TE (all electric) available throughout its agriculture and turf division dealer distributor network. The TE recharges overnight and can operate all day on a single charge -- hauling up to 900 lbs. of payload.

More power and performance for John Deere's Gator TX comes from a 19-hp engine, along with an upgraded suspension system.

All 2010 Gators will receive an innovative new cargo box which offers more capacity, a pickup style tailgate latch, 20 integrated tie-down points, and an improved lift handle and gas-assist lift for unloading.
