Hay and Grazing Conference Set for Jan. 13

Conference includes breakout sessions on number of topics

The Kansas Hay and Grazing Conference will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Kansas Farm Bureau Building in Manhattan. This is a public conference for anyone interested in livestock grazing, hay production/utilization or buying/selling of Kansas grass and hay products.

This conference is jointly sponsored by the Kansas Forage and Grassland Council and K-State research and Extension.

The cost is $45 by January 6th or $60 at the door. Registration begins at 8:30 the day of the event and the program starts at 9:30. It ends by mid -late afternoon.

Breakout session topics will include: Biomass research in Kansas, weed control in pastures, weed management in new and established alfalfa, alfalfa insect control, experiences with year-round grazing and a host of other topics.
