How Do You Define "Naturally Raised"?

USDA's Ag Marketing Service is looking for input on the term's definition for livestock.

USDA's Ag Marketing Service has planned three listening sessions to take input on defining livestock as "naturally raised." USDA wants to develop a voluntary standard for labeling products "naturally raised" based on production practices.

The listening sessions will be held at 1 p.m. on the following dates:
Dec. 11 -- Jefferson Auditorium, USDA South Building, Washington, D.C.
Jan. 17 -- Hyatt Regency Tech Center, Denver, CO; 303-779-1234.
Jan. 18 -- Seattle Marriott SeaTac Airport, Seattle, WA; 206-241-2000.
