Fred Cholick, Kansas State University's dean of the College of Agriculture and director of K-State Research and Extension, has been named to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, and Economics Advisory Board.
The board provides advice to the U.S. secretary of agriculture and to the nation's network of land-grant colleges and universities. It helps in developing priorities and policies for food and agriculture research, education, extension and economics.
Cholick will serve on the board for three years.
The board's 31 members have diversified expertise and occupations, representing broad interests in agriculture. More information about the advisory board is available on the Web at nareeeab.ree.usda.gov.
