No-till Education Awaits

South Central Kansas Residue Alliance offers workshop, field day on Thursday in Wichita.

Whether you are a veteran no-tiller or just wanting to learn more about it, there'll be plenty of information to review and fellow producers to talk to when the South Central Kansas Residue Alliance hosts a Soil Improvement Workshop and Field Day in Wichita on Thursday (March 10).

Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center at 21st Street and Ridge Road in Wichita.

Topics include:

Integrating Livestock and Cover Crops Into Your System, presented by Gabe Brown a farmer and rancher from Bismarck, N.D.; Microbiology, Why Should I Care? presented by Kris Nichols, Soil Microbiologist with USDA in Mandan, N.D.; The How and Why of Cover Crops, presented by Gail Fuller, a farmer from Emporia; Bringing Your Soils to Live, presented by Nichols, and Soil Health and Quality of Life, What's the Connection? presented by Brown.
