Poultry Hall of Fame Opening in May

Museum is culmination of 15-year effort.

The National Poultry Museum, 15 years in the making, will celebrate a grand opening at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs on May 8.

Loyl Strombert of Pine River, Minn., has been the leader of the effort to create a museum that not only celebrates the past but asks the question of how to build on that past to create a stronger tomorrow.

The ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. May 8 at the center, 630 N. 126th St. in Bonner Springs.
